Nintendo Live 2022 General Admission Ticket Lottery Now Open

Nintendo’s in person FREE event, Nintendo Live, is returning for 2022. The event will have multiple tournaments, stage shows and demos and is open to the public. Well, kind of. Earlier last month, lotteries opened up for the various tournaments that are taking place during the October 8 and 9 event. A special general admission lottery is kicking off today (September 1) and running until Thursday, September 15 at 3:00 p.m. (Japan Time). Anyone with a Japanese My Nintendo account is able to enter, however, there are a few caveats when it comes to the lottery.

The general admission lottery winners are limited to 5,000 winners. In order to prevent congestion at the time of entry, timed admission groups have been put into place. The groups and entry times are as follows:

Group | Time | Pre-Show Gathering Time
  • Group A | 9:30 | 8:45 - 9:15
  • Group B | 10:00 | 9:15 - 9:45
  • Group C | 10:30 | 9:45 - 10:15
  • Group D | 11:15 | 10:30 - 11:00
  • Group E | 11:45 | 11:00 - 11:30
  • Group F | 12:15 | 11:30 - 12:00

Once inside, attendees are free to leave whenever they wish. Winners will be notified on Thursday, September 22. Those that have applied for and won one of the tournament admission lotteries cannot apply for this lottery that falls on the same day. (e.x. If you won tournament admission for Day 1, you can apply for general admission on Day 2).

We’re trying to go to the show. I’ve already lost the lottery for the Super Smash Ultimate tournament, but hopefully this one will turn out better. If you’re curious about the results, be sure to follow me on Twitter (@dannybiv) or check our Famicast Twitter account (@TheFamicast).
I lost the lottery for the Smash Tournament!

Fingers crossed for general admission!
