Fans looking aiming for glory in select Nintendo titles are in luck. Today, Tuesday, July 15, fans are able to register for upcoming tournaments that are set to take place at Nintendo Live 2025 Tokyo. The registration period is open until Tuesday, August 5 at 3:00 p.m. Japan Time. Several tournaments will be held for both adults and children (up to elementary school age). The following will be held:
- Mario Kart World Tokyo Rally 2025 (Kids & Adults)
- Splatoon 3 Enjoy the Bankara Collection Bukichi Cup (no age limit)
- Splatoon 3 Salmon Run Part Time Team Contest (no age limit)
- Mario Kart World Invitational 2025 (Kids & Adults)
Players wishing to join must have a Japanese My Nintendo account and have a valid Japanese address as of the time of the application date and event. Registration is exclusively being handled via the Nintendo Today app. Only those that win the lottery will be able to participate in the tournaments. The event itself will be held on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 at Tokyo Big Sight. A lottery for general admission will be held in late August.
Nintendo Live 2025 Tokyo marks a big return of the even to Japan. The company had prepared for an event to take place in January 2024 before having to cancel due to threats to tournament participants and staff.
