The big news this week is definitely the collaboration update with Genshin x Sushiro, the new Haikyu x Shimamura and the Kirby x McDonald’s! I jest, it is definitely the Nintendo Direct and the Elden Ring DLC gameplay trailer.

#10 - Gundam Breaker 4 Nintendo Direct Reveal

One of the many titles announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on February 21, Bandai Namco has announced a planned 2024 release of their latest Gundam title, Gundam Breakers 4. Although not exclusive to Nintendo Switch, Gundam Breakers 4 will also be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Check out the announcement trailer in the Famitsu article.

#9 - Genshin Impact Sushiro Collaboration Details

Full description of both exclusive food items and goods available during the Gneshin Impact and Sushiro collaboration has been finally released. From sushi, ramen and parfait food sets to illustration cards and plates. #7 - Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance June 21 Release Date

Another title announced at Nintendo Direct’s Partner Showcase, Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance was announced for not only the Switch platform, but also PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One and Series X | S and also on PC, and with a planned release date for June 21 later this year. Similarities to the Persona series are obvious, there are two routes with one route having an expected 80 hour playthrough and the second route touting a 160 hour playthrough. #6 - Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 Announcement

After a 2-year hiatus, the next installment in a Danny Bivens’ beloved franchise has a new release announcement! Only announced for release this year with no date specified, the Nintendo Direct video announcement saw the High School Koshien Simulation mode “Eikan Nine,” past Konami characters and Powerful Pro Baseball characters return, and the PowerFest game mode also returning. #5 - McDonald’s and Kirby Happy Meal Set

Coming off the recent Pokémon and McDonald’s collaboration, the next collaboration sees Kirby coming to the Happy Meal Set. There will be three stages of Kirby toys, the first starting on February 23 to February 29, stage two only from March 1 to 3, and the third stage from March 8 onwards. There are eight unique Kirby toys to be had. Stage one and two will feature four different toys themselves, while stage three will offer a random toy from the combined lineup. #4 - Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Gameplay Trailer

A majestic return to the lands between with the release of the gameplay trailer for the eagerly-anticipated Elden Ring DLC, titled Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, released on YouTube on February 21, with a official release date of June 21 later this year. #3 - Shimamura and Haikyu! Collaboration

Do you like volleyball and anime? If so, then you most likely know of the anime Haikyu! Over the past few weeks, FamiKatsu has seen many Shimamura collaborations, such as Chiikawa from a few weeks ago and Dragon Quest from last year. #2 - Elden Ring Director Miyazaki Interview

With the first announcement of the Elden Ring DLC back on February 28 of last year, finally both the first gameplay trailer and release date have been announced almost a year later. So with the details and trailer finally out, Famitsu asked director Hidetaka Miyazaki a slew of questions, ranging from his feelings once again on the game receiving the GOTY, to the volume of the DLC itself (he replied saying it is much bigger than the Dank Souls DLCs and Bloodbourne DLC). Also covered on the Famicast, Nintendo announced its Partner Showcase which lated around 25 minutes on February 21 from 11:00 p.m. The direct showed the latest from a variety of software partners, some of which are covered in this list already! Glad to see at least one new collaboration hitting the list this week, even though the two big winners were the Nintendo Direct and the Elden Ring DLC.
