Suika Game Gets Multiplayer Mode

One of the hottest indie titles of 2023 is getting some DLC. Dubbed the Suika Game Multiplayer Mode Expansion Pack, this adds support for two players locally in either Original, Time Limit or Attack modes. Time Limit is “a 5-minute intense competition, and the player with the highest score wins. When the rainbow gauge runs out, Poppy will drop fruits on her own, so you'll need to make decisions faster than usual!”

Attack mode allows players to send additional fruit to their opponents. Combining fruit fills up a gauge in the middle of the screen. Once five fruit are matched, the gauge will be full and players can then send fruit to their opponents box. You can see a trailer for the game below.
The multiplayer DLC for Suika launched immediately following the Partner Showcase. It retails for ¥180 or as a special set with the base game for ¥420. Developer Aladdin X is currently working on online multiplayer for the game. NCL’s listing shows this with an estimated May 31, 2024 release. Those that buy the Expansion Pack will have access to online play as soon as it’s released. For more on Suika Game, be sure to check out our review of the game here or in the video below.
