While gamers in North America are enjoying some Star Wars titles for the Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial, gamers in Japan are going to get something a little bit different. Kicking off on Friday, May 2, Nintendo will be holding four consecutive Game Trials throughout the month of May. The first featured game will be Undertale, which will be available starting on May 2. Unlike typical Trials, these will only last over the course of a weekend from Fridays at 10:00 a.m. (JST) until Sundays at 5:59 p.m. You can see the release schedule (minus the upcoming games - Nintendo has yet to reveal that information) below:
- May 2 - 4 | Undertale
- May 9 - 11 | ???
- May 16 - 18 | ???
- May 23 - 25 | ???
In addition to the Trial, Undertale will also be on sale from May 2 until May 11 for ¥972 (40% off) on the Switch eShop. The last Game Trial for Japan took place in February and featured Vampire Survivors. When this Game Trial month is finished in Japan, a total of five games will have been featured on the service for 2025 and 55 titles since starting in 2019. You can find a complete list of all of the Japanese Game Trial titles here.
