A remake of Disney Epic Mickey is on its way to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S | X, Xbox One and Steam in 2024. Titled Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the game “brings the magic of Disney to life in a vibrant 3D platformer. This faithful remake sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey through Wasteland, a realm of forgotten Disney characters. As Mickey, you will dive into a fantastical world, and armed with paint and thinner, shape your adventure and the fate of this alternate world.”
The game is being published by THQ Nordic with Purple Lamp taking on development duties for this remake. Purple Lamp is responsible for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated and the Steam version of Sea of Thieves.
