Jordan Challenge Revealed For NBA 2K23

Basketball fans looking to relive some of the greatest moments in NBA history are in luck. The NBA 2K23 Jordan Challenge will allow players to tackle 15 unique challenges based on real games throughout Michael Jordan’s career, from college to his final days as a pro. Each challenge will feature three unique goals for players to hit which earns rewards that can be used in My Team and My Player modes of the game. Additionally, the gameplay will reflect how the NBA was played at the time. For example, games will be slower paced in general, more physical and the 80s era games will have teams focus more on the post and mid-range games.

Each challenge will feature era specific broadcast presentation for a more authentic look, ranging from the simplicity of 80s broadcasts to the more graphic heavy presentations found in the late 90s. Specific filters will also be implemented to make the games look as if they were taking place from the era being presented. Before each game, former teammates, coaches and opposing players will give their thoughts on the situation at hand as well. You can see the Japanese trailer for the mode below.
NBA 2K23 launches in Japan on Friday, September 9 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation , PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Steam. For Switch users in Japan, only the standard edition of the game will be available physically. An SD card with 38 GB or more of free space is required for this version. 2K has yet to reveal the size of the Switch version of the game.

Last year, NBA 2K22 saw Japanese player Rui Hachimura as the cover athlete for physical versions of the game in Japan.
