Nintendo shared their latest financial data today, Friday, August 1 for the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year (April 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025). This marks the first time that the Nintendo Switch 2 is being covered and the initial launch window numbers are impressive. From launch to the end of June, the Switch 2 sold 5.82 million units worldwide, with 1.27 million being sold in Japan alone. Mario Kart World has also been a huge success for the company selling 5.63 million units globally (1.18 million in Japan).
The original Switch is still moving units, albeit a bit slowly. For the quarter, the system sold through nearly one million units. You can find more details about the sales data below.
