Konami’s marquee simulation baseball title has a release date for this year. eBaseball Pro Spirit 2026, known as Pro YakyÅ« Spirits 2026 in Japan, is set to release in numerous regions around the world on Friday, July 16 on both the PlayStation 5 and Steam. This year’s version of the game brings numerous returning modes, enhancements, English commentary and more. Here are the modes that will be on offer in the game:
- Exhibition
- Season
- Star Player
- Hakkyu no Kiseki (High School Baseball, now with DH)
- Spirits
- Live Championship
- Live Scenario
- Grand Prix
- Home Run Derby

For players in Japan and Asia, a special World Baseball Classic Mode will be included - the first time on home console in 17 years for the series. This will show up as an additional mode after booting up the game. It includes the full WBC license including the ability to play at Loan Depot Park in Miami, WBC uniforms, tournament play, Live Scenario (with 47 missions from the real tournament to complete), real players and more. You can see the Japanese and English language opening menus below for comparison.
In addition to what's listed above, the free-to-play game, eBaseball Pro Spirit will be included and able to launch directly from the game. Just as with Pro Spirit from March, John Lewin will once again be featured with English commentary for the game. Japanese commentary will also be available with Taisuke Mitsuhashi in the main role with Kimiyasu Kudo, Kenshin Kawakami, Norihiro Akahoshi and Tomoya Satozaki as color commentators. You can see the teaser trailer for the game below.
In terms of availability, Pro Sprit 2026 appears to be coming to the Americas, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Pricing in Japan has the standard version of the game coming in at ¥8,778 and the digital deluxe version for ¥10,978. Pre-orders are currently open for the game. Fans who own the previous title in the series, Pro YakyÅ« Spirits 2024-2025, are eligible for a 30% discount on their purchase of digital versions of Pro Spirits 2026. This applies to those who have purchased the digital version of the game or the physical version of the game and have played it by March 31, 2026. Be sure to check the Japanese PlayStation Store or Steam page to see if the discount applies to you.
Outside of the commentary, the game pages and press release don’t mention to what extent English will be supported in the game. If it’s anything like Pro Spirits 2024-2025, English will be available, but limited. What also isn’t clear is whether or not Pro Spirit 2026 will forgo the two year release cycle that Konami has been known for with both the Power Pros and Pro Spirits series for years. The naming of the game with just “2026” seems to be deliberate, so it’s possible that the company is looking to buck that trend.
