Nintendo’s communication game series has hit a major milestone. Today, Tuesday, April 14, the Animal Crossing series turns 25. The first title originally released on the Nintendo 64 in Japan back on this day in 2001. While it wasn’t necessarily the first game of its kind, it has had great success for the company since its original release. To celebrate, Nintendo is offering special in-game items based on the original Nintendo 64 box art. These can be nabbed in game with a special painting that can be displayed in your house.
