San Diego Studios gave fans their first look at The Show 26 in a reveal trailer showing off some new stadiums, modes and more. The World Baseball Classic is coming back to Diamond Dynasty and will offer two new stadiums: the Tokyo Dome and Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico. The studio promises more rewards, programs, collections and live service offerings.
The Road to the Show expands upon elements introduced last year, bringing more universities officially license College World Series and more. Similar to last year, this mode will allow you start off in high school and then work your way to college and eventually to the Big Leagues. Storylines is also back with The Negro Leagues Season 4 offering another look at unknown Black players from yesteryear. In addition to these, enhanced controls for pitching and batting are also making their way into the game. Pre-orders are open now with Early Access starting four days early on March 12 at 9:00 p.m. PT (March 13, 2:00 p.m. JST). MLB The Show 26 fully launches on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 17. You can see the new trailer below.
