It’s time to go back to the galaxy. Both of them. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are coming to both the Nintendo Switch (playable on Switch 2) on October 2. The games will be available in a double pack for ¥7,980 ($69.99 USD) or available separately for ¥4,500 ($39.99) each. The games will feature an enhanced resolution of 1080p on Switch and 4K on Switch 2 (coming with a free update), improved UI, extra Storybook Chapters, a new Assist Mode and more. In addition to the games, two new amiibo from the series and a replica of Rosalina’s storybook are also coming. The amiibo, one featuring Mario and the other featuring Rosalina, are scheduled to release on Thursday, April 2, while Rosalina’s Storybook will come out day and date with Galaxy 1 and 2 in Japan for ¥2,750 ($24.99) while fans in other territories will have to wait until November 25. A special set with both the storybook and physical version of the game is available on the My Nintendo Store in Japan for ¥10,730. You can see the trailer for the games in Japanese and English below.
