The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom x Lawson Food & Merch | Photo Gallery

A few days before the release of the The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo teamed up with Japanese convenience store chain Lawson to offer a variety of food, drinks and merch. Of course, being a fan of these kind of collaborations (and with the Zelda series being my favorite Nintendo IP), I couldn’t help myself. I picked up and tried all of the food and drinks on offer. Additionally, I also ended up nabbing some of the special merchandise that was also on offer through the purchase of specific items at the store. It wasn’t easy (but it wasn’t THAT hard), but I managed to track all of them down, too. Just to note, many of these are hard to come by and in some cases impossible to find, even just a few days after the campaign started.

Below, you can take a look at all of these. If you’re wanting a more in depth discussion/explanation about the food, be sure to tune in to the most recent episode of our podcast, The Famicast 245 on YouTube or through your favorite podcasting platform.

Food
Several different hot and room temperature food items were available. Truth be told, even the room temperature ones were often better heated up at home or at the convenience store. I opted to do this at home (toaster oven for the bread, microwave for the onigiri) for some pretty tasty results. The chicken was the only thing that was ready to eat and great right from the hot snack section of the shop. As much as I wanted to, I did not keep the plastic for any of these. It was very easy to tear, which would have made washing them a bit on the annoying side. Oh well.

Below, you can find pictures of everything that was on offer.

Spicy Pepper Karaage-kun (5 piece chicken)

Goron Spicy Dry Curry Onigiri (rice ball)

Big Heart Truffle Mushroom Focaccia

Meat Curry Pan (pork)

Hearty Salmon and Fresh Milk Clam Chowder

Drinks
One drink items was available - the Tsurugi (Mighty) Banana Au Lait. There were multiple designs available with three different versions of Link. The top of each drink sports a yellow foil with the Shiekah crest. Being foil, and the nature of the kind of drink, saving these in their entirety is a bit tricky. You literally poke a hole through the top with the straw and I didn’t have the patience to peel off the top. You can see pictures of all of these below.
Merch Available w/ Food Purchase
Two varieties of items were available with the purchase of select snacks, candy or drinks - six Tears of the Kingdom files, and three microfiber cloths. Participating items for the files were easy to spot as they had small Tears of the Kingdom labels on them. If you bought three of these, you would get your choice of one of the folders. The microfiber cloths were attached to tops of a Suntory branded drink called Tennensui Fiber 8000.

There you have it. What do you think of the food and merch that was on offer? Did you get a chance to try any for yourself? Would you have liked to? Sound off in the comments and let us know!
