The first Wednesday in September must have felt right for a Nintendo Classics update. Starting today, Wednesday, September 2, three new titles have been added to the Famicom and NES Nintendo Classics lineup of games. Ikari Warriors, Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom and R.C. Pro-Am 2 have joined the lineup in English speaking territories. For Japan, the first two titles have been released, but R.C. Pro-Am 2 has been switched out for the Japan exclusive action platformer Dragon Buster. You can see the trailers in in English and Japanese below.
Dragon Buster originally released on the Famicom in 1987 and was published by Namco. It made a reappearance on Nintendo hardware in Japan via the Virtual Console on the Wii in November 2008, the Nintendo 3DS VC in March 2013 and the Wii U VC in January 2015. The game has also been a part of several collections of Namco titles on various platforms over the years.
