It’s been a long wait, but Obakeidoro 2 is finally hitting the Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch worldwide. Originally releasing in October 2025 in Japan, Obakeidoro 2 is scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6 worldwide. The Switch version will retail for ¥1,980 / $19.99 while the Switch 2 version is ¥2,480 / $24.99. The game is currently available for pre-order around the world.
As mentioned previously, Obakeidoro 2 was released on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan last year at the time as a console exclusive. We can’t confirm this, but it’s possible that the English release was pushed back to coincide with the development and release of the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
