The March 28 viewing in Kyoto is the world premiere of the film. There will be a “mini event” held, but there are currently no details as to what that exactly entails. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theaters in most of the English speaking world on Wednesday, April 1 and opens in Japan closer to the Golden Week holidays on Friday, April 24.
