WWE 2K26 Coming to Switch 2 March 13

After a few days of rumors, we finally have a release date for WWE 2K26. The title will release on the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam on Friday, March 13. The Switch 2 base game will come in as a 92.7 GB download (versus 77.2 GB for WWE 2K25). Exclusive to the the system, Switch 2 players will also have access to touchscreen and mouse support, GameShare, GameChat, support for single Joy-Con 2 play and the ability to use the mouse in creation elements for face and body painting. Unlike last year’s title, 2K26 on the Switch 2 will now support the image uploader and cross platform Community Creations.

Everything that fans expect from the series will be making a return. The game will feature over 400 wrestlers, four new match types (I Quit, Inferno, Three Stages of Hell and Dumpster), and improved creation suite, expanded MyGM and MyRise, the return of The Island and more. The 2K Showcase this year will focus on the career of CM Punk, allowing fans to relive some of the superstar’s best matches or dream matches. One of the biggest changes this year comes with Ringside Passes. In lieu of traditional DLC, these free and paid passes will allow players to unlock wrestlers, cosmetic items, VC and more. There will be 60 free tiers and 40 premium (paid) tiers set over six passes over the course of the year. The first season will be available at launch and will feature unlocks for superstars and legends.

Several versions of the game will be available. All of the special editions will come with early access to the game starting on March 6 as well as a variety of superstars, legends and VC. You can see the versions alongside the pricing in yen and US dollars.
  • Standard Edition | ¥8,800 | $69.99
  • King of Kings Edition | ¥14,080 | $99.99
  • Attitude Era Edition | ¥18,300 | $129.99
  • Monday Night War Edition | ¥20,900 | $149.99
WWE 2K25 was a pleasant surprise on the Switch 2 offering very competent way to play the game for the first time on a Nintendo console in years. You can read more about my thoughts on the game here or check out the review in video form below.
