Nintendo and Illumination finally shed some light on who will be playing Rosalina and Bowser Jr. in the Japanese dubbed version of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Rosalina will be played by Maaya Sakamoto while the role of Bowser Jr. will be taken on by Daiki Yamashita. All of the other mainline actors will also be making their return. Maaya Sakamoto has been the main voice actress to take on Natalie Portman roles since Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Other notable works include voicing Aerith in Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Rebirth as well as characters in The First Slam Dunk (2022), Ghost in a Shell, Fate/Grand Order and Re:Zero. Yamashita voices the main character, Izuku Midoriya, in My Hero Academia and has also contributed to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Astral Chain, Dragalia Lost and Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
