Konami’s latest has come of the gate strong. Momotarō Dentetsu 2: Anata no Machi mo Kitto Aru claimed the number one and number three spots in the weekly Famitsu sales charts for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. Here’s how things break down:

Just as a note, Famitsu does not account for digital sales, so it’s likely that the title has sold even more copies.
The past two Momotarō Dentetsu titles have been big hits for Konami. 2020’s Momotarō Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban has sold over 4 million units to date. The follow up, Momotarō Dentetsu World from 2023 saw similar success, selling 1.5 million units in Japan alone. The former also saw an English language release in via an “Asia Edition” in December 2024. You can read more about that here.
