Two Tetris 99 Maximus Cups Coming in December

Not one, but two Tetris 99 Maximus Cups have been revealed for December 2023. The first one, starting this Friday, December 1 at 4:00 p.m. (JST) features WarioWare: Move It! and will run until Tuesday, December 5 at 3:59 p.m. (JST). Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be front and center for the next one, which kicks off on Friday, December 15 and will run until Tuesday, December 19. Per usual, players will need to accumulate 100 points during the event to be able to take home the theme. You can see the new Wario theme in action via the Japanese trailer or in a still shot below.

Nintendo is also giving players a chance to take home the previously featured theme for WarioWare: Get It Together! Starting today, November 28, the theme will be available to “purchase” via one in-game ticket until Tuesday, December 12 (9:59 a.m., JST). Afterward, the “price” will change to the standard 30 tickets. 

These mark the 37th and 38th Maximus Cups since the events started and the sixth and seventh of 2023. The last event took place earlier in November and featured Super Mario RPG.
