Retro Game Challenge 1+2 Replay Announced for Switch, Coming to TGS 2023

A beloved DS classic is going to see new life on the Nintendo Switch. Game Center CX: Arino no Chōsenjō 1+2 Replay, aka Retro Game Challenge, is getting a re-release on Nintendo’s platform. The game will also make also be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2023. Additionally, Arino himself will be at the event in person at the Bandai Namco booth on Saturday, September 23 from 11:00 - 11:35 alongside producer Midori Sugiyama (Bandai Namco) and Masanobu Suzui (indieszero). This remaster is being made in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Game Center CX. On top of the previously released games, a brand new, retro style beat 'em up will be included in the package. As it stands right now, the game has not been announced for release outside of Japan and has yet to receive a specific release date. You can see the reveal trailer for the game below. 
In total, there are three games in the series that released in Japan. The first game, Game Center CX: Arino no Chōsenjō, was originally released on the Nintendo DS in November 2007 (February 2009 in North America). The sequel, Game Center CX: Arino no Chōsen 2, was a Japan only title which was released in February 2009. This was followed by a third title on the Nintendo 3DS called Game Center CX: 3 (San) Chōme no Arino in March 2014.
