Wave Five of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is scheduled to arrive this summer. During the June 21 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed a new course and three new playable characters. The course is called Shabon Road in Japanese, which can loosely translate to “Soap (Bubble) Road." The official name is Squeaky Clean Sprint in English. The three characters coming are none other than Petey Piranha, Wiggler and Kamek. The remaining courses will be revealed at a later time.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pack is included with a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack membership or can be purchased in Japan for ¥2,500 separately. You can check out the Japanese teaser trailer for Wave 5 below.
