A new trailer for the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was revealed during the February Nintendo Direct. While things still remain cryptic, gamers got a chance to see the world of Hyrule in the game as well as some of Link’s new abilities. You can see the new trailer below.
Additionally, Nintendo showed off a Collector’s Edition as well as a new Link Amiibo for Tears of the Kingdom. The Collector’s set comes with the following:
  • Copy of the game
  • Art Book
  • Steel Poster (Iconart)
  • Steel Book
  • Pin Badge Set (four pins)
There are three SKUs of the CE for Japan:
  • Collector’s Edition w/ Physical Version & Game Card | ¥14,520 ($111.27 USD)
  • Collector’s Edition w/ Physical Case & Download Code |¥14,500 ($111.11 USD)

The Amiibo features Link standing with his arm outstretched, in the exact same pose that we saw him in larger form at Nintendo Live back in October 2022. When scanned into the game, players will receive access to materials, weapons and a special skin for Link’s glider. This new figure retails for ¥1,980 and was already sold out within a few hours of being listed on My Nintendo Japan. It has since been re-added with a release window of later July.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches on the Nintendo Switch on May 12 and retails for ¥7,900 ($60.53 USD). For comparison, Breath of the Wild launched at and still retails for ¥7,678. At the time of its release in 2017, the game was roughly $67 USD.
