Nintendo is prepping to open the flood gates (or slow trickle) of Nintendo 64 titles to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack service. Starting on December 10, Paper Mario, or Mario Story as it is known as in Japan, will launch on the service worldwide. The game originally released in Japan on August 11, 2000 followed by a release in North America in February 2001 and PAL territories in October 2001.
Additionally, Nintendo has introduced some “re-printed” articles about the game that originally appeared in 64 Dream magazine around the time of the games release. The screenshots above are just previews, but you can find multipage PDF files below.
Not associated with Nintendo directly, 64 Dream could be found on bookshelves across Japan from 1996 until the May 2001 issue when the name of the magazine was changed to Nintendo Dream. The magazine still continues to be released every month to this day here in Japan.
