Nintendo Teams Up With Fuji Film For New Year’s Cards

Nintendo is teaming up with Fuji Film to offer Nintendo themed nengajō (New Year’s Cards) for those living in Japan. Several different designs are available featuring both the Super Mario Series and Animal Crossing with prices starting out at ¥113 each (¥50 for the design, ¥63 for postage) with additional charges based on how many nengajō are ordered and when the order is placed. The closer the order is placed to the holiday, the prices will go up.

Several different designs are available here as well, with 13 different designs for Mario and Animal Crossing, some of which allow users to put in their own pictures of family members, pets, friends, etc. Of course, this service is limited to Japan. You can check out all of the cards below.

The tradition of sending “nengajō,” or New Year’s Cards, is nothing new to those living in Japan. Every December, the post office is flooded with these cards that are pretty much guaranteed to be delivered right on New Year’s Day to friends and family.
