Tony Hawk 1+2 Dated for Switch in Japan

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 for the Nintendo Switch has received a firm release date for Japan - June 26. The standard edition of the game will retail for ¥5,390 while the digital deluxe version will sell for ¥6,490. Although the June 26 release date is a day later than the West, time zone differences make this a near simultaneous launch which is similar to what some companies do with worldwide releases in Japan.

While the Tony Hawk series saw immense success in the west nearly two decades ago, the series did not fare as well in Japan. The last Hawk game to appear in the country was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD on Xbox Live Arcade in 2012. The last time the “Birdman” flew on a Nintendo console was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 on the GameCube which released in Japan on June 27, 2003
