A special Dragon Quest 35th anniversary event will be taking place in Japan on Thursday, May 27 from 12:00 p.m. Japan Time. The event will be split into two parts, with the first part featuring a variety of information (such as in-game events) for Dragon Quest X Online, Dragon Quest Walk and other current mobile Dragon Quest titles. During the second part, Square Enix will be revealing their plans for upcoming Dragon Quest titles. This part will be presented in a talk-show style of program with Japanese talent JOY leading the conversation. The event will be broadcast on YouTube, which you can see embedded below.
Additionally, a variety of collectibles will also go on sale on May 27 on the Square Enix online store. Some of the items include gold metallic monster statues, mini replica weapons, a jigsaw puzzle, a 3D paper diorama and more. You can check out all of the upcoming items here.

Ten years ago as part of the Dragon Quest 25th anniversary, Square Enix revealed and later released a Dragon Quest Collection on the Wii which contained Famicom and Super Famicom versions of Dragon Quest I, II and III as well as a guidebook, a mini medal and pouch. The game never saw release outside of Japan.
