2026 is shaping up to be a great year for Nintendo Switch Online Game Trials, and July is keeping the ball rolling. Starting on Monday, July 6 (noon JST), Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for the Nintendo Switch will be available to members to play for free until Sunday, July 12 (5:59 p.m.). Unfortunately, given the complicated publishing situation with the game in various regions, 1st Chapter is limited to Japanese only on the Japanese eShop. This also only works with the Nintendo Switch 1 version of the game. You can see the trailer for the game below.
In addition to this, the game will also be on sale (50% off) from July 6 until Sunday, July 19 (11:59 p.m.). You can find the pricing on the different versions below.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter marks the sixth Game Trial in Japan for 2026 and the 65th overall since the initiative started in 2019.
