Just in time for summer, Nintendo is once again teaming up with Baskin Robbins in Japan for some tasty treats. This time, Animal Crossing will take center stage at shops across Japan from Wednesday, July 1 until Friday, July 31. Called the “Laid Back Summer Life with Island Animals at Thirty One (the nickname for Baskin Robbins in Japan),” fans can enjoy a brand new flavor and a handful of other Animal Crossing themed treats. Here’s what’s on offer.
Animal Crossing Summer Island Gochisou Ice Cream
Available for a limited time, this new flavor is refreshing in both taste and appearance. It evokes images of forests, beaches, the sea and rivers. The blue has a ramune flavor, green is pear, and the light/white color is apple and fish “silhouette” candy.
Animal Crossing Double Cup Designs
Two designs with Animal Crossing designs will be available.
Tom Nook & Kids Special Double Cup
This special cup comes with a spoon and a charm with Tommy and Timmy.
Single & Double Sundaes
A single and double scoop sundae will be available. The single sundae features a design akin to the floating presents that can be found in the game, while the double is themed after nighttime in the villages with Wisp and Blathers and Celeste.
Special Set
A special box will be available featuring an Animal Crossing design on the outer box and allows the choice of eight single scoops. It also comes with a special bag exclusive to this item.
GPS Check-in
Fans that make use of the GPS check-in functionality in the Nintendo Store app can receive a special sticker while supplies last.
The last Nintendo collaborative event at Baskin Robbins in Japan was held from April to May and featured Super Mario Galaxy. You can read more about that here.
