Dragon Quest x McDonald’s Japan Campaign Starts Jan. 7

Just in time to kick off the new year, McDonald’s Japan is teaming up with Square Enix for a special Dragon Quest campaign. While special food and drink items are one of the main focuses, the collaboration is also bringing special limited edition merch to fans. Here’s a look at what’s on offer.

Slime Stacking Dolls
From December 18 to January 7, burger loving Dragon Quest fans can try their luck at a chance to purchase a set of five Slime Stacking dolls. The biggest one features a blue slime and decreases in size with Grimace, Birdie, Hamburglar, and a silver slime. These will retail for ¥2,990 and only be available to those that enter and win a special lottery. Entry into the lottery requires each entrant to have 50 or more points in the My McDonald’s reward program.
Burgers & Drinks
A total of three different burgers and two drinks will be on the menu starting on Wednesday, January 7. These are as follows:
  • Chunky Hash Brown & Thick Beef Addictive w/ Consommé Pepper Mayonnaise | from ¥560
  • Hot Chili and Tartar Chicken | from ¥490
  • Double Teriyaki Cheeseburger | from ¥540
  • McFizz Refreshing Yogurt Soda (with Slime cup) | from ¥300
  • McFloat Refreshing Yogurt Soda (with Slime cup) | from ¥380
These will only be available for a limited time. If you find yourself in Japan during the month of January, be sure to check out the food!
