This one came completely out of nowhere. The Virtual Boy is coming to the Nintendo Classics lineup and will be available to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack members on February 17, 2026 on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Unlike previously released classic systems, an additional accessory will be require to play the Virtual Boy titles. These come in the form of a replica of the original Virtual Boy and a cardboard version (which seems to be repurposed version of Labo VR). The replica is available for pre-order in Japan and a few other regions, and retails for ¥9,980 / $99.99 USD, while the cardboard version is ¥2,980 / $24.99 USD.
As for games, 14 titles have been revealed for English speaking regions while 15 have been revealed for Japan. These will be released over time. You can find a list of the games below:
