The film adaptation of The Exit 8 has come out of the gates strong in Japan. The film has amassed ¥953,919,000 (roughly $6.4 million USD) at the box office with 671,840 moviegoers taking in the film in its first three days in theaters. Currently, The Exit 8 is the highest grossing live-action film released in the country in 2025. In addition to the numbers, a new poster for the movie was released on social media, which you can find below.
Following this success, The Exit 8 is going to making its way to more screen formats throughout Japan. Starting on Friday, September 12, fans will be able to view the film at select theaters with MX4D (12 locations), 4DX (58), SCREENX (20), ULTRA 4DX (4) and Dolby Cinema (9).
