Super Mario Bros. Wonder has gotten off to an extremely hot start. Nintendo’s latest 2D platformer starting everybody’s favorite plumber has sold through 4.3 million units in its first two weeks on the platform. This makes it the fastest selling Super Mario title since Nintendo began tracking sell-through data during the Wii and DS era.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the first original 2D Mario title since 2012’s New Super Mario Bros. U on Wii U. Nintendo anticipates the game to sell well in the long run and will be a popular choice for shoppers in the holiday season.
