It might have taken a few months, but the love letter to Atari has finally made it to the Nintendo Switch in Japan. Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration was released in Japan on Thursday, August 31 in Japan for ¥4,500 ($31 USD) and is on sale, marked down to ¥3,825, for one week until Thursday, September 7 at 11:59 p.m. Japan Time. Mixing in documentary elements alongside of gameplay, Atari 50 first released in the West last November to critical acclaim. The game is available in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish on the Japanese Switch eShop.
