The numbers just keep going up. The Super Mario Bros. Movie has officially topped $1 billion at the box office worldwide after just 26 days in theaters. It’s the 10th animated film to achieve this and the first animated film of 2023 to reach this level. To date, Nintendo and Illumination's film as grossed $490 million in North America and $532 million internationally. The film just released in Japan over the weekend. We’ll be sure to report on the numbers in Japan as they become available.
