Although gamers in the West are getting Goldeneye on the Nintendo Switch this Friday (January 27), shooting game fans in Japan are going to have to wait a bit longer. Nintendo stealth updated the status for the game on the Expansion Pack Nintendo 64 software page with the following message:
The game will be available in other regions from Friday, January 27, however the release for Japan is scheduled for 2023.

Despite Goldeneye missing out on the Expansion Pack this week in Japan, the game will be available on the Japanese iteration of Game Pass. The remaining lineup for Expansion Pack Nintendo 64 games in Japan is exactly the same as the West with one exception - Harvest Moon 64. We'll be sure to share any and all updates about Nintendo's release schedule in Japan for N64 Switch titles as soon as we hear something.
