Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Coming to Switch Spring 2023

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters have been confirmed for a release on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for Spring 2023. Final Fantasy I - VI will be coming to each platform digitally or via a limited edition physical release. For Japan (as things stand right now), the physical version will only be included with a “35th Anniversary Edition,” while lucky gamers in the West can pick it up in this set or in a standard edition. The collector’s set runs ¥33,000 | $259.99 (USD) | €274.99. The standard edition containing all games physically retails for $74.99 (USD) | €74.99 but is currently sold out in most countries. The 35th Anniversary set includes the following:
  • Final Fantasy I - VI Collection (game)
  • Final Fantasy I - VI Pixel Remaster -FF35th Anniversary Edition- GOODS BOX
  • Final Fantasy I- VI Pixel Remaster Vinyl
  • The Art of Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster -FF Dot. Pixel Remaster ver.- (128 pages)
  • Final Fantasy I - VI Pixel Remaster Memorial Ultimania (320 pages, Japan only)
  • Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Pixel Figure Set
  • Final Fantasy I - VI Collection Lenticular Sleeve 
The physical version of the game, both standard and collector’s set, are exclusive to Square Enix’s online store across the globe. While things are mostly the same, gamers in Japan will also be getting the Memorial Ultimania, a 320 page book containing art, character intros, a world guide and more. It’s not clear why this is not included in the Western collector’s sets. You can find images of the items from the Japanese collector's set below.
