2x Gold Points, Digital and Physical Merch For Expansion Pack Members in Japan

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is getting a bit more value in Japan. Nintendo is introducing three new benefits to members for a limited time. These include the following:

Double Gold Points on eShop Purchases
Between November 2 to January 31, 2023, any titles purchased on the Nintendo Switch eShop will net users 10% back with Gold Points, double the usual 5%. As long as you sign up for the Expansion Pack by January 31, 2023 (11:59 p.m. Japan Time), points will be awarded for all software you purchased in the campaign period. Additional Gold Points will be distributed at the beginning of February 2023.

Purchases made via game specific download cards are also eligible. Purchases related to the Nintendo Switch Game Voucher program are not eligible for this campaign.

Special Icons for Switch Profile
A handful of different icons themed around Nintendo 64 games that have been released on the Expansion Pack service will be available starting on November 2 until February 3, 2023. These will only be available to Expansion Pack members. Here’s a list of what will be available during the time period.

November - Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Kirby 64
December - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, F-Zero X, Yoshi’s Story
January - Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Paper Mario

Physical Merch via My Nintendo Japan
Several physical Nintendo 64 themed items will be available exclusively to Expansion Pack members via My Nintendo between November 2 and January 31, 2023. While prices have not yet been revealed, the following will be available:

Nintendo 64 Japanese Box Art T-Shirt
Nintendo 64 Controller mugs (gray, black, red, yellow, green, blue)
Nintendo 64 Game Logo Sticker Set (10 stickers)
There is currently no word if similar benefits will come to the Expansion Pack outside of Japan. The Expansion Pack will hit its one year anniversary on October 26 (in Japan). The service is home to a collection of Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive / Sega Genesis titles as well as free DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Splatoon 2.
