Four Resident Evil Titles Hitting Switch via the Cloud

More Resident Evil titles are coming to the Nintendo Switch via the cloud. Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are hitting the system in 2022. Village is set to release on October 28 and will retail for ¥4,990. The DLC for the game, Winters’ Expansion, will release on December 2. RE 7, 2 and 3 are planned to be released at some point later in 2022.

A Gameplay Demo for Resident Evil Village went live after the Direct on the eShop and is available right now. Two versions of the demo are available - a CERO rated D version and a Z version. The content here is the same, but the CERO D version tones down the violence.

This isn’t the first time that the Biohazard/Resident Evil series has appeared on the Nintendo Switch via the cloud. Biohazard 7 hit the Switch on May 24, 2018 via a 180 day / ¥2,037 rental service in Japan. Once the rental period ended, you could no longer play the game, however, your progress would be saved on the cloud servers. This new version of RE7 nixes the rental idea entirely.
