Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is the next Nintendo 64 game to hit the Nintendo 64 app for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack members. The game is scheduled to release on Friday, May 20 worldwide. This marks the 13th title (14th for the West) to be released on the N64 app in Japan. Last month, users were treated with Mario Golf 64.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, titled Hoshi no Kirby 64 in Japanese, was originally released on March 24, 2000 in Japan. It was followed by a June release in North America and PAL regions, and in 2001 in Australia. The game saw life again on the Wii Virtual Console in 2008 and the Wii U Virtual Console in the summer of 2015.
