Crayon Shin-chan’s Summer Vacation for Switch Gets Release Date, Special Edition

The previously revealed My Summer Vacation / Crayon Shin-chan crossover title for the Nintendo Switch has an official release date for Japan - July 15, 2021. Not only that, but the game will also be receiving a special Premium Box which contains a physical copy of the game, a “Luxury” Visual Book called, “Travel ‘materiarl’s’ Book -Memories-,” an Action Bastard journal, a soundtrack download ID card (six tracks consisting of theme songs and morning exercise music) and a special box for all of the items. The Premium Box will retail for ¥8,980 (roughly $83 USD) while the standard edition of the game will sell for ¥6,580 ($61 USD).

The aforementioned visual book will contain various artwork and an interview with game director Kazu Ayabe from Millennium Kitchen. Ayabe is best known for the Boku no Natsuyasumi (My Summer Vacation) series and is also responsible for the 3DS title Attack of the Friday Monsters. Just to note, the spelling on the visual book “materiarl’s” seems intentional (the character Shin-chan is a five year old boy, so it makes sense).
